Chapter 432 A Little Competition, Part 4
The ground shook. Jacob slid backwards, both axes in his hand as the Undead T-Rex roared at him. Condensed energy oozed out of the Undead T-Rex. This thing was going to make sure Jacob was killed. The ground began to shake. Red energy began to spread out of the Undead T-Rex.
p
"RUN!" Jacob shouted. He sprinted forwards trying to stay past the growing red aura. His body pulsed with mini shockwaves, pushing the smoke past as he darted past the monsters. They tried to swing at him, but their attacks had no effect on him. A large sphere of water drew his attention.
"Run!" Jacob shouted again. Keng groaned. A red aura quickly moved past him.
'Crap. It's happening!' Keng pushed himself to his feet. His body had managed to heal only twenty percent of the damage. Keng pulled the water and noticed Jacob running towards him.
"Leave now!" Jacob ordered. Keng turned, feeling the immense pain of the attacks pushing onto his body. Jacob grabbed him and aided him over to Philip, who was sprinting away. The gray energy pulled back into Jacob as he released one of his axes. "That thing is gonna get us all killed. Phi!" Philip turned and noticed Jacob and Keng quickly jogging towards him.
"What happened to you?!?" Philip asked.
"No time." Jacob interrupted. "Get out of the aura now!" The red aura flew past them and Philip groaned.
"We're not gonna make it with me with you guys." Keng groaned.
"We need to get you outta here." Jacob told him. The three moved as one. Jacob supported Keng while Philip swung at any stragglers. The monsters seemed to sense something was happening because they all started to scatter. "Philip, I think you need to use it."
"B-but!" Philip looked at his older brother. He seemed scared about what Jacob just said. "I barely got it down. What if—"
"There's no what if's right now! We're going to die to spikes if we can't protect all of us somehow! Keng's injured, that thing is charging an attack and any stupid enough monsters will try to take pot shots at us! Do it!" Jacob told his brother. Philip gripped his glaive and sighed. The three had come to a stop and Keng's uneasy feeling grew.
The ground started to shake.
"No time! Do it!" Jacob shouted. Philip gritted his teeth and nodded. He marked the ground with the blade of the glaive and stood inside the circled.
"I call upon thee in time of need: Lady Dahlia, protect us from evil. Shield us from danger!" Philip lifted his glaive up. Keng watched as the aqua energy started to glow brightly. "Holy Shield!" The glaive slammed down and the circle lit up. An aqua shield flew up as bone spikes flew out of the ground. The ground shook like an earthquake. Bones flew up killing and destroying anything in its path as the Undead T-Rex roared. The Holy Shield began to ping, loudly, as bones tried to pierce it.
Philip grunted as he forced his eyes shut and held the glaive in place. He had fully concentrated on the spell. Keng could tell this spell was taking a lot of energy to use. Keng's body flared up in light, moving into Jacob and Philip as he reached out for Jacob.
"Heal." Keng whispered. Their wounds began to heal. The damage they had sustained on the battlefield began to disappear. The smell of burnt flesh stayed as bones continued to explode all around them.
"I… I can't!" Philip shouted.
"You must!" Jacob shouted. Keng's unsteady breathing steadied and he opened his eyes as the light died.
"I-I can't hold it! I don't have enough!" Philip shouted. The Holy Shield began to weaken. The three listened as the shield began to crack at the exploding power of the Undead T-Rex's Spike Rush. The familiar feeling of bubbling grew in Keng's stomach.
'Not again.' Keng shook his head. The bubbling grew out of his body and quickly released itself as the Holy Shield exploded. Bones began to rush straight at the three men as the bubbling feeling rippled out of Keng.
This feeling was familiar. This feeling was someone familiar. This feeling came from Lee Seng. Gravity rippled past the men and shredded the bones to dust. It pushed the smoke and dust farther away as Jacob watched as the space around them distorted for a split second. Keng lifted off the ground and grunted as the gravity continued to destroy the bones in its path.

"Argh!" Keng landed on the ground. A giggle escaped his lips as he turned.
'Is this the same guy who was barely alive just a minute ago?' Jacob asked himself.
"Don't worry." Keng calmly spoke. His voice drew Philip's attention. It pulled him to open his eyes and look. He had failed the Holy Shield spell and thought they were dead. Keng slowly moved past Jacob, summoning the daggers into his hands. "I'll kill it for us."
The daggers grew bigger in his hands. The blue design of the God Weapon seemingly glowed with silver and gold runic marks. Philip was the only one who noticed this. Keng's aura seemed to finally fully show itself in front of the two Wang brothers. What Jacob thought was all to Keng, wasn't what it seemed.
'What are you exactly?' Jacob thought. Keng blinked from his spot as a Displacement Mark shimmered in his place. He ran, blinking towards the Undead T-Rex as the T-Rex swiped its feet onto the ground.
[Notice: Undead T-Rex is going to use Bone Rush.]
"Try me!" Keng roared. Gravity flew into his enlarged daggers. He jumped and chucked one of the daggers at the Undead T-Rex. "Sky Devourer: Energy Siphon!"
"GRA!" Bolts of lightning, ice, and fire flew at Keng as the charged dagger flew through the bones of the Undead T-Rex and exploded beneath the T-Rex's feet.
"RAWWRR!" The T-Rex screeched as it blasted forwards.
[Notice: Undead T-Rex has been forcefully stopped from using Bone Rush.]
"Displacement!" Keng shifted back to the spot near Jacob and Philip. Philip had shifted his weapon back into a crossbow and was attempting to take down the magic hobgoblins. Keng lifted his hand and the enlarged Hydrosphere flew back into his hands, ripping bones off of the Undead T-Rex.
"An Energy Trickster." Jacob whispered. "Why didn't I notice until now?"
"You know what I am?" Keng asked. He pointed the dagger at the Undead T-Rex. A blast of gravity and silver light flew out of the dagger and pierced a couple more bones. The Undead T-Rex fell onto the ground, again and roared as it tried to get a grip back into the battle.
"Energy Tricksters are rare. Why would a Savior have it? It isn't the most holy class." Jacob asked, confused.
"Dunno why I was given this, but we can use the gravity to our advantage." Keng lifted his hand and touched Jacob. Jacob felt his body grow lighter. He looked at Keng in awe as Keng motioned at the T-Rex. "All yours. I'm going to help Philip take down the mages. You can handle what's left of that T-Rex right?"
"T-Rex?" Jacob looked at him confused. "That Undead thing is a Undead Drake." Jacob pointed.
"Good to know." Keng nodded. "Go get em, Barbarian."
"You say the strangest things, Keng." Jacob shook his head as he sprinted off. Keng listened as Jacob gasped at how fast he was going. "Enough about that, let's get to work! RAAA!" His scream pulled him back into the 'barbarian-like' state. He cleared the distance quicker than he normally would've in his fighting state and tossed his ax at the head of the Undead Drake. The ax emitted another shockwave, blowing off shards of bone with ease.
'Huh. I'm stronger too. How can a sly fighter like Keng have a support skill like this? Is it due to that power that came out of him earlier?' Jacob wondered. He shook his head and leaped straight for the head of the Undead Drake. The drake charged a red energy in its mouth. Jacob knew the Undead Drake was going to blast him with a powerful blast of Undead energy.
The Undead Drake let out its breath of undead energy. The red-black energy flew straight at Jacob as his lips curled into a smile.
'Your powerful death magic doesn't work on me. I'm the worst match up against you, Drake. For I am a Death Rage!'
"Rage Absorption!" Jacob screamed. He lifted his ax and watched as the necrotic breath flew past him. He could feel the magic wither away at him while his ax absorbed all of the energy in front of it. "Return." Jacob lifted his hand and pulled the other ax back. He would finish this in a single blow now. He lifted his other ax and absorbed the rest of the necrotic energy. Once the drake had released all of its breath magic, Jacob struck. He swung the absorbed energy straight at the neck of the Undead drake and let out a large shockwave that turned everything to dust as it touched it. The Undead Drake's neck went to dust as the ripples followed the body. The ground exploded, creating a hole and releasing the rest of the energy into Nature, itself.
