Chapter 934 Spirituality Through Death

The wooden components instantly caught up in flames, raising the temperature of the place. The oil seemed pretty potent as when ignited, the flames it generated were hot enough to melt even the rock pillars of the Sect, a structure that stood tall for hundreds of years.

Volatile substances from the rocky pillars gushed out through cracks from the intense heat, exploding every few seconds, causing further damage to the place.

Boom!

The wind carried some of the hot ashes, causing them to fall into a forest where some dried shrubs caught flame. The fire gradually spread through the forest.

"Well, this is bound to erase all traces of their existence." Rass grinned happily, having wiped out the last of Martial Arts Sects on the mainland, "Now, all we need to do is weed out the smaller ones that have gone into hiding."

"Let's retreat." He commanded as the group climbed aboard their ATVs and sped away through a forest path, having no intention to be caught up in the forest fire.

"Someone's there!" Suddenly, one of Rass's underlings shouted, detecting the silhouette of a man through his thermal sensor. But, just when he planned to press the trigger, the figure vanished. "What the…?"

"Remain on alert. There might be another expert that is still alive." Rass commanded as he held his rifle steady, staring around while on the back of his ATV. He remained on alert, watching the ATV rush past a large trunked tree, surprised to see a man standing casually behind it.

At that moment, their eyes locked, instantly causing fear to brim within Rass as he pressed the trigger accurately, slamming a bullet into the opponent's forehead. He wasn't satisfied with that as he turned around and loaded a grenade, launching it at the target to obliterate his body.

Only then did he relax, "Strange bastard."

"No more signs of people around us anymore." One of his underlings said, inspecting the splattered remains of the entity Rass had just shot before.

There wasn't even an intact body part as Rass thought, 'Even the Spirit Zombies they refine would die once their head is destroyed. There's no way that bastard would survive after this. Besides,'

He stared back to mutter, "The fire would take care of everything cleanly anyway."

The group quickly drove past as the fire began to slowly catch up to the large trunked tree. What they didn't know was that on the other side of the large trunked tree was a man, leaning on it casually, his eyes closed as he muttered, "Murim Worlds are indeed the most unstable."

It was Compass Carburettor. Or rather, a Secret Society member.

Of course, even if he is killed, he could casually revive himself. Even though the primary Dreamland was in the body of the original and not with him, every single cell in his body was a virus, containing pretty much his entire records. So, it only needed an instant to regenerate from a single cell to an entire individual.

Compass Carburettor diversified the means of his revival to further strengthen his concept. So, there was always a way out to logically revive him. This prevented his fate and luck from getting consumed to alter cause and effect to revive him through his concept.

Yes, that was possible. But, it couldn't be done successively. Moreover, doing so would weaken him in the long run. Hence, by having diverse revival means, his concept worked the best and was instead strengthened by his deaths.

There was fire all around him as the wave of forest fire sped past him, causing his body to burn in response. Compass Carburettor struggled to escape but the toxic fumes were too dangerous. And just a few mouthfuls of breaths later, he fainted and was consumed by the flames.

A couple of seconds later, his figure appeared in the centre of the burning Spirit Sword Sect as Compass Carburettor closed his eyes to sense the changes in the surroundings while repeatedly being burnt to death.

Spirituality Through Death!

As every Secret Society member in the Dreamland tapped into the data of the place through their spirituality, Compass Carburettor performed the same as he meditated on the burning peak to tap into the information network of this world.

He already had a connection to that through the mortality of those that had died. He would have to suffer from headaches by connecting with his concept externally, but that was bearable when the scope was only the mountain region.

It was well within his limit as Compass Carburettor began to scale up through the timeline of the place, muttering as he observed the changes brought about by Rass, "He's destroying the culture and tradition of this world and is planning to build a new world atop the ruins of the past."

"But strangely…" Compass Carburettor muttered in surprise, "Even though he brought out guns and modern equipment, he has limited it to the people under his command. So, the rest of the world has yet to become familiar with the technology. That's interesting."

This action meant that the world was losing its Murim affiliation but as technology had yet to become a trend, the world didn't show any inclination towards Technocraft either. A strange balance was being attained here by treading between the fine line.

"I'm curious to see what will happen next." Compass Carburettor smiled in response, knowing very well that this was Martial's experiment. It had to be noted that despite being a Genre Representative, he had become a Quasi-System Host, all to save his worlds.

He had a sad plight, despite being a powerful Genre Representative that could unleash a Genre Representative's ultimate ability—Genre Representation.

And hence, due to his partnership with the Waning Essence System, Martial was working on changing his worlds. This created the perfect chance for Compass Carburettor to observe the inner workings of a Genre Representative's strength and finally seek out the truth that he came to find here.
