Chapter 1103 - Kill them and snatch their eyeballs!

Chapter 1103 Kill them and snatch their eyeballs!

Dark Space, a place in perpetual darkness and desolation and wherein sapient lifeforms had no way of understanding or surviving. A silver-colored little insect was forging ahead at impossible speed. It only had just one eye, yet this one eye was filled with confidence and fervor.

There were no signs of life anywhere around it, and any nearby biological creature alive in the Dark Space had long fled, for this little insect was the king of Dark Space! No one dared to challenge its authority. In fact, no one dared to meet Little Goldie in the eye!

After experiencing thousands of trials and tribulations, Little Goldie eventually found its master. This was a sort of bliss for the demon chrysalis, so when Xia Fei gave it this dangerous assignment, Little Goldie naturally went ahead and executed it sans hesitation.

With a lighter body, Little Goldie moved even faster than it had ever moved; even its energy was at its peak. The demon chrysalis thought that following Xia Fei had been its greatest decision. Though there would often be trouble, the improvement it saw in itself was more than worth all that. This trip to the Alpha Universe saw several changes to it, with its level increasing by leaps and bounds.

Honestly, this was not Little Goldie’s top speed; if it demonstrated its top speed, its current pace would certainly increase by at least another third. It could not be helped. Demon chrysalises came to exist for the Dark Space. In other words, this was Little Goldie’s territory. Once here, not even the speedster Xia Fei could outspeed Little Goldie.

However, the very obedient Little Goldie had been prohibited by Xia Fei to go at its top speed and had even been instructed to observe its surroundings carefully, so this was precisely what the demon chrysalis did. Loyalty meant doing exactly what its master commanded, no questions asked, and Little Goldie was too loyal.

There were restless energy pulses coming from ahead. Little Goldie slowed down and very seriously scanned for the source of the fluctuations.

Soon, it resumed its speed, its small eye actually filling with this irresistible air of dominance!

Not even several minutes passed when a group of enormous creatures appeared in front of Little Goldie in a slow crawl. They looked like black manatees, each one lumbering and clumsy.

These Dark Space creatures were, of course, afraid of Little Goldie. Unfortunately, they were too low level; expectedly, their reaction time left much to be desired. Crippling fear engulfed their hearts only when Little Goldie was already right in front of them.

“Roar!”

Unexpectedly, Little Goldie had actually let out a fearsome roar at that moment! The sound was somewhat similar to what Furball would usually make; it appeared that this creature had not just mimicked its master Xia Fei but also its master’s fellow pet, Furball!

This caused quite the stir. These enormous Dark Space creatures were so frightened from the roar that their spirits fled them. They fled in a panic even as their cumbersome bodies lugged away, not even caring if they got trampled on in the process. Too scary! Little Goldie was too scary!

Xia Fei’s demon chrysalis had become the kind of king that never compromised once it got to its turf!

After staring coldly at the fleeing enormous creatures, Little Goldie resumed its marching pace. Its attitude as it did was extremely tyrannical and rude.

Xia Fei had always treated Little Goldie like a child. What he did not know was that, while the demon chrysalis was a small, cute creature when before him, it was already acknowledged as the Dark Space’s absolute king!

While Little Goldie was slowly but surely heading to the Law Realm, Xia Fei was piloting his superspeed warship straight to Aquamarine’s ex-home.

Many years had passed, so Xia Fei was uncertain if the Valley of Wind was still Aquamarine’s lair, but he was not about to let this chance go.

Aquamarine was already dead, but she did not leave any inheritance behind; this was completely illogical!

Everyone knew that Aquamarine was so powerful not because of her high level of cultivation but because she could wield unfathomable powers from things she had brought with her when she came to this universe.

Through the Law of Primal Chaos, Beast Spirit Codex, and Immemorial Armament, Xia Fei could harness formidable combat strength. If he could just obtain even more valuable inheritances from Aquamarine’s lair, it would be hard to imagine if there was anything alive that could resist his assault!

“Are you certain that others don’t know about the Valley of Wind?” Xia Fei asked Radix this as they made their way over.

“I could, at the very least, say that no one knew of that place back in the day. The Valley of Wind is a hidden and sinister place. It took me, Hosu, and my lord a lot of effort just to probe our way in, and it’s only after we had gotten our hands on some items that we felt something off. Of course, we immediately returned to our clan, but the moment we took our first step through the entrance, Aquamarine caught up with us. “What followed was that vicious battle, which lasted three days and three nights. The moment the fighting ended, my lord got exiled from the clan, only to wander to another universe. Everything happened so fast, so no other person got the Valley of Wind’s coordinates from us,” Radix said.

Xia Fei nodded. “Then it’s even more important for us to check the Valley of Wind. As the old saying goes, ‘it matters not the circumstances.’ As such, we will proceed as planned. If we find anything good, we’ll of course profit, but if there isn’t anything, it’ll still be a decent trip. In any case, it’s not as if this voyage to the Valley of Wind would disrupt my cultivation.”

Fuchen beamed through partly closed eyes. “That’s a good attitude to have, but with you bringing me along, aren’t you afraid that I’ll show my true colors, snatching whatever good things you find from you?”

Xia Fei was unfazed. “Haven’t you always been saying that you’re a transcendental being? Would you set your eyes on such little trinkets? Besides, if you wanted to harm me, you’d have done so long ago. Why help me by releasing that strange Soul Eye? Speaking of which, I’m curious. For a moment there, Tong Jinliang stopped breathing the instant he saw that Soul Eye, his face going green with envy. Was that thing really so formidable?”.

Fuchen felt great hearing this. It could not be helped, for Xia Fei’s art of flattery was truly exquisite. When he said those words, he sounded as if he were joking, with a harmless smile even plastered on his face. Anyone would have difficulty feeling a dislike for Xia Fei when he was living life, but that was only while he was being carefree. In the middle of a fight, Xia Fei would become an absolutely diabolical existence. Fuchen shook his head with a smile. “Can you stop being so insidious, you twerp? Trying to flatter this old man with your honeyed words so that I’ll be in a good enough mood to tell you the secret behind the Soul Eye.

“The Soul Eye is actually an eye, a Soul Array that combines Spirit Energy with the Unrestricted Inner Heart. To forge a Soul Eye, of course, one has to be a Spiritualist and then must have a suitable receptacle, which is an expert’s soul after it gets solidified into an

eye…”

Hearing Fuchen’s words, Xia Fei was rendered speechless from sheer shock. It turned out that the tri-colored Soul Eye of Fuchen was made with the eyeball of a divine beast; even its forging method was rather gory.

However, the effect of the Soul Eye was immense. It was the crystalline form that a Spiritualist formed after madly using their Spirit Energy! If one needed to monitor a huge constellation, using Soul Eye was the way to do

it!

When a Soul Eye rose, it could gain insight to the world!

One could even hunt down and end the lives of their enemies after releasing a Soul Eye! Because the very body of the Soul Eye already contained a Spiritualist’s essence, it could act like a powerful reconnaissance tool, as well as a powerful one-time killing weapon

A Soul Eye could shoot out Spirit Energy and destroy an enemy’s soul; a last-minute array could even be triggered when a Soul Eye got near, trapping the enemy within.

No wonder the expression on Aquamarine’s face changed drastically when she saw that Soul Eye. It was precisely it being something with great lethality!

The Soul Eye, which must be crushed to activate, was without a form and had no energy vessel to speak of. No one could destroy it, which made it an indestructible weapon. Who would be willing to take on an enemy that could not be beaten, right?

Xia Fei lit a cigarette. He thought of what Old Fuchen had just told him. The latter had been very generous, not only telling him about how to use a Soul Eye but even teaching him how to forge one.

“Tong Jinliang was shocked because no average Spiritualist could easily forge such a heaven-defying Soul Eye, but for Orthodox Spiritualists like us, doing so isn’t really that difficult. After all, the Soul Marks we have in our brain are Unrestricted Soul-Spirit Marks! It is a Soul Mark with the most powerful function across the universe!

“Be it absorbing a soul or a spirit, converting, storing, or even unleashing energy, nothing can compare to it. The forging of soul weapons is a unique skill of ours! A Soul Eye can be considered as a special soul weapon and is also something only we, Orthodox Spiritualists, can afford to play around with. Any average Spiritualist will have to expend a lot of their energy to do what we casually do, and their success rate can only be called abysmal,” Fuchen said gleefully. Whenever he talked about his background, Fuchen would become very smug. In his mind, only he and Xia Fei could be deemed authentic Spiritualists, for they could use both Soul Power and Spirit Energy, while the rest were just swaggering swindlers. Xia Fei shrugged as he pulled something out of his spatial ring. “Since we, Orthodox Spiritualists, are so powerful, why has no one else heard of us? Besides, I saw the Spiritualist Association’s official promotion website. Not only is there no mention of Orthodox Spiritualists, not one Spiritualist is deemed as part of the orthodoxy, too.”

*Zing*

Fuchen became very agitated, his face instantly going black.

In fact, the Alpha Universe’s Spiritualist population had banded together to form the legendary Spiritualist Association, but for some reason, Fuchen had never mentioned its existence to Xia Fei, and it was something he had chanced upon while doing his own research.

Something must be afoot based on the old man’s abnormal behavior!

Except for being occasionally arrogant, Fuchen had actually always been mild-mannered, and Xia Fei had never seen him truly become enraged. This time was different. The moment he mentioned the Spiritualist Association, Fuchen’s eyes looked like they would spit fire at any time! It appeared that he had truly gotten fairly angry.

Xia Fei was a master at acting in line with momentum. He realized at once that the situation had turned for the worse the moment he saw the change in Fuchen’s demeanor. Everyone had their own pain, and that Spiritualist Association seemed to be Fuchen’s!

“Oh, yes. I’ve just remembered something.” Xia Fei very deftly changed the subject, all casual-like. “When I first arrived at the Alpha Universe, it took me a great deal of effort just to kill the Inverse invasion army’s leader, and he’s got a very strange pair of eyes, not shattering even when I hacked them with my fiend blade! Was that what you meant when you said ‘Soul Solidification’? Could that pair of eyes be used to forge Soul Eyes?”.

With that said, Xia Fei lifted the two golden eyeballs from his spatial ring, each much smaller than that divine beast eye that Fuchen had used before.

Sure enough, the moment these two eyes appeared, Fuchen’s attention was drawn to them. His expression then turned from one of rage to delight mixed with doubt.

“The Inverse? To think that they’d have such good stuff!” Fuchen was surprised. He took the two eyes from Xia Fei and kept playing with either, unable to put both down. “The owner of this pair of eyeballs was no average Inverse but rather Golden Eyes! I nearly lost my life killing him,” Xia Fei said, a lingering fear still lodged in his heart. Xia Fei had truly done everything he could in that battle and was the reason why he had suffered heavy injuries when he was first in the Alpha Universe.

“Golden Eyes?! Wonderful! What a wonderful set of Golden Eyes! Truly top-notch! Excellent for forging Soul Eyes with!” Fuchen said in his excitement.

Radix was speechless. It was a weird sight to behold, having an old and a young man playing with someone else’s eyeballs!

“Hahahaha!”

Fuchen let out a great laugh. “Looks like we must make a trip over to the Inverse as soon as possible.”

“What for?” Xia Fei asked, startled by the sudden suggestion.

“To kill them and snatch their eyeballs!” Fuchen waved his hand grandly as he made that barbaric declaration.
