MMORPG: Divine Mech Hunter

Chapter 192: Difficult Challenge (Please Subscribe)

Dispel Magic: Dispels a beneficial buff on an enemy or a harmful buff on an ally. Instant cast, cooldown time of 30 seconds.

“Damn, that’s my rare skill book.” The eyes of the Guardian Angel suddenly lit up, he’d never managed to get this skill book himself before. It was available at auction, but the prices were insanely high.

“Get lost, you’re just asking for trouble. You already have that magic wand, and I only have a broken bracer. This book is mine. That’ll make us even.” Da Vinci angrily scolded the Guardian Angel.

“Aren’t you a bard? Shouldn’t you be learning songs and melodies?” The Guardian Angel was completely bewildered.

“You don’t know shit, the predecessor of the bard is the priest. I can learn the skills of the priest, transform them into melodies, strengthen them, and change them. It’s way more useful than when you learn them.” Da Vinci smugly claimed, as if he was schooling a hick.

“Fine, it’s yours, it’s yours.” The Guardian Angel felt depressed. “Are you bullying me because I don’t have an elite class? Just wait, after we finish this dungeon, I’ll focus on doing missions.”

“Give it to Da Vinci.” Li Yao, seeing that they had finally come to an agreement, handed the skill book to Da Vinci.

Then, in front of everyone, he put a gemstone bag and two Gold Coins into his backpack.

“Uncle, why don’t you open the bag and look what’s inside, shouldn’t we share the coins? I’m so broke.” Da Vinci promptly put on a pitiful act after learning the skill.

“If you want to share, fine, you can command, and you can distribute to everyone evenly.”

“Che, like I’d stick with you, if I could do budgeting!” Da Vinci grumbled discontentedly, and glanced at Li Yao disdainfully.

Li Yao pretended not to see it, didn’t want to get into a fight with this brat.

“Let’s continue, I haven’t got anything yet and look at me, I’m not complaining. Let’s hurry up to the next one.” Feng Yi urged. She definitely wasn’t as calm as Li Yao.

Although they had already gotten past two bosses, who knew what would happen with the third boss.

“Alright, the equipment’s been distributed too. Shadow Dance, go scout the path.” Li Yao commanded.

“Okay.” Shadow Dance carefully searched for traps while keeping an eye out for any monsters in the proximity.

“Let’s move.”

Li Yao and the others followed after Shadow Dance.

“Boss, we’ve got some trouble ahead.” Shadow Dance reported in.

“Give me the details.” Li Yao frowned.

“I saw a small camp, there are nearly thirty demons of varying types gathered there, they even have patrol posts and such.” Shadow Dance also sent out the monster data he’d gathered.

Demon Wizards (12)

Rank: Level 11 Silver Hero

Health: 80,000

Armor: 185

Resistances: Basic Fire Resistance, Basic Frost Resistance

Skills: Fireball, Flame Burst, Rain of Fire, Flame Explosion

The health points of the Demon Wizards weren’t high, but when they saw the skills these wizards had, everyone looked worried.

Demon Slasher (15)

Rank: Level 11 Silver Hero

Health: 150,000

Armor: 289

Resistances: Basic Fire Resistance

Skills: Charge, Cleaving Strike, Demon Transformation, Demon Rage

“Damn it, they can even transform, I hate transform-type monsters the most. Once they transform, their HP will be back to max again.” Guardian Angel cursed angrily.

Demon Boss (1)

Rank: Level 12 Silver Hero

Health: 130,000

Armor: 200

Resistances:Basic Fire Resistance, Basic Arcane Resistance

Skills: Strength Blessing, Intelligence Blessing, Battle Hymn, Revive Warrior, Corpse Explosion, Group Haste

Everyone wanted to cuss out loud. So many silver-grade heroes had gathered here, there’s no safe space to hide.

Moreover, the distance from here to the hall of the second boss was not short. The boss had access to Group Haste, and given that silver-grade heroes were inherently faster, they were going to have even more speed. Even if Li Yao estimated, pulling them all in this situation, he won’t be able to make it.

Especially since they had both melee and ranged attackers. The ranged attackers knew many group attack spells, coupled with the disgusting skills the Demon Boss had. No matter whether they hid or not, they only seemed to have one way out, and that was death.

“There’s no such kind of camp in Elite mode, plus they’re more widely scattered – at most five or six together, and they’re only elites. In this case, these dozens of Silver heroes together are indeed perverted.” Sea and Sky explained the situation of Elite mode.

“Shadow Dance, try to pull one and see.” Li Yao ordered.

But everyone saw Shadow Dance’s health decrease instantaneously.

“Impossible, as long as they saw me, all the monsters who saw me would rush over. Flame Explosion is too terrifying, it took me out in one shot.”

Everyone went silent. This was going to be troublesome.

“It seems this is another difficulty of Master mode.” Big Sister Li mused, “The crucial point is, how do we break through now? Can we do this — have the commandos not expose themselves, attack the closest monster, and see if it will draw the monster towards us?”

Everyone’s eyes lit up, and Da Vinci said, “That’s a good idea. Uncle, you’re up.”

Feng Yi shook her head and said, “That’s too difficult. Once we pass this corner, we should be able to see the camp. It’s impossible to use the commandos to attack beyond the corner, but with the commandos here, the arrows would need to bounce off several irregular rock walls, it’s too difficult.”

Everyone suddenly understood. They couldn’t see the demons from here, how could they use the commandos? And the stone walls weren’t even. They believed that Li Yao could control a single bounce, but multiple bounces? The margin for error would be enormous, attempting it was indeed too difficult.

“We need to move quickly, there are teams already at the final boss.” Sea and Sky reminded them.

His words made everyone tense, they were stuck here.

“It’s challenging, but we can give it a shot.” After some thought, Li Yao spoke up. He really couldn’t remember how the players in his past life had managed to get through this passage. Certainly not by brute force, it wasn’t a question of having the right equipment anymore.

However, Li Yao didn’t dwell on this. There’s always more than one way to solve a problem, and The Ancient God had many strange things that seemed useless, or unconnected.

But players with creative ideas always managed to discover the mysteries and uses buried within.

Li Yao activated the passive skill of the Dark Ranger, and his body gradually turned transparent. As they were teammates, they could faintly see Li Yao’s blurry figure.

“Darn it, with those moves, those strides, it’s even more rogue than the rogues themselves. What a freak.” Sea and Sky complained.

“The Hunter can even sneak around, I see no future.” Shadow Dance said depressingly. They made their living off of sneaking around.

Li Yao didn’t pay any attention to their complaints, he silently sneaked around the corner, and sure enough, within a few tens of meters, there was a relatively spacious passageway.

There was a bonfire lit up, on top was a large chunk of some creature’s meat, roasting to a crisp golden brown, fat dripped down the sides.

A Demon Boss was seated by the bonfire, several Demon Wizards guarded him, and the Demon Slasher was somewhat scattered, patrolling the vicinity.

Li Yao quietly watched the camp for at least five minutes, then carefully studied the rock walls on both sides of the cave, memorizing every detail in his mind.

He returned to his team and sat down on the ground with his eyes closed. This was truly a challenge for him…
