Chapter 14: Race Evolution
From lv7 to lv8 he could kill the boars with almost no effort.
From lv8 to lv9 he had begun training his mastery of the mana bullet so he could master his other spells.

His efforts during his experience grind were well rewarded.
Not only were his spells leveling up nicely but his skills were as well.
His mana sense had even increased in tier meaning it had a new radius minimum radius of 10 meters.
As his mana sense increased in level it would obviously grow stronger too.
He felt that something interesting would happen once he hit lv10 in the same way he gained his fire spell at lv5.
Now that he was lv9 though he had to find new creatures to hunt since it would only move slowly if he continued with the boars.
With his path leading him out of the forest he managed to find new creatures but since it was farther and farther away from the village he saw fewer players.
Each hunting ground was sort of like a territory he noticed, the creatures would sometimes roam into eachothers territory and this made some overlap but it was pretty well established.
Nearest the village were the slimes inside of the barrier and just outside of the barrier was the territory of the wolves which extended deep into the woods.
The territory of the boars was typically heralded by less underbrush like bushes and leaves as the boars seemed to eat anything they found.
While exploring the territory of the wolves he saw very few players because of not just the few number at his level but also because the territory was so spread out.
He saw a few players while hunting wolves but it was far more common to see low level boars and high level wolves fighting at the territory edge.
While hunting boars Ezekiel had not seen a single player which he assumed is why he was able to level up so quickly from the abundance of prey.
Now that he was stronger than the boars he had to find new creatures by leaving the forest which meant he had even smaller odds of meeting anyone.
By traveling through the new grasslands he had entered he began to see a few things, first of all he saw large buffalo.
As he approached the buffalo believing they were the creatures of this territory he saw something that shocked him.
A large cat leapt onto the back of a buffalo and the two began to brawl with one another.
The nearby buffalo approached quickly with grumbling noises while the wildcat and stray buffalo fought their battle.
Eventually with a loud crunch the buffalo bit down on the cat and threw it to the ground but it did not seem satisfied.
It reared itself back before crashing down hooves first on the beast with a sickening crunch.
It began to return to the herd after defeating its would be killer while glowing as its level rose from 9 to 10.
This territory appeared to be very dangerous for those who were not prepared and he figured that out quickly.
After seeing this battle he knew that he had to figure out how to actually kill anything so he could gain experience.
The problem was that the wildcat was very well hidden before attacking the buffalo and the buffalo that was separated from the herd was close enough to still receive help.
With his ideas running thtough his head he made a choice.
He crouched in the grass and began to snipe the buffalo the way he had the wolves before.
He used the shadow bullet specifically as he was worried about using fire in this grassland but with each bullet that struck the herd he could feel their growing anger and unease.
When he had struck all of the buffalo in the herd he just kept trying to strike their hp lower.

Consumption Applied.

-5...
Similar to the burn effect shadow element spells applied something called consumption but so far it only looked like a fancy word for the shadow dot.
The best part of using shadow bullet was that the shadow element appeared to still be so painful that it was just making them overwhelmed by the consumption.
By slaying the buffalo in such large groups he consumed large amounts of mana at a time but it was worth it to farm experience without fighting anything.
The biggest problem was that while the buffalo were dying he actually couldnt even concentrate enough to absorb any mana to replenish his core.
After slaying the third herd of buffalo he finally leveled up.
