Chapter 47: Hardmode pt. 3
The spells and skills were not even close to the limit of what they could do to her.
While fighting her to a lower and lower hp level they kept themselves ready for the next phase of the fight.
He knew that at 25% hp she would normally begin using her mana blades.
The four of them were prepared for any developments or any odd behavior but they were not as guarded when they knew what the milestones of the previous difficulty were.
This mentality was how they were ready for the moment when something strange happened.
When her hp was at 35% her life aura flashed in a similar way to the shield of the giant skeleton.
They assumed that she would be healing herself so they began to do everything possible to prevent this.
Ezekiel bombarded the boss with shadowfire while Shade and War God struck her weak points.
Even Hope was using wind bullets.
They saw the hp of the boss dropping rapidly with no sign of recovering.
The most interesting part was when Ezekiel saw where the mana was headed.
The mana was infusing itself into the giant skeleton which was beginning to be repaired by the life mana.
The other concerning detail was the rest of the scattered bones from defeated skeletons forming into the giant.
The skeleton was being covered by the bones of the other skeletons.
The ribs filling in the gaps of the giants ribcage, the other limbs and hands formed around the limbs of the giant.
The result of this was a giant skeleton wearing armor made of the bones of its fellow summons.
~
After the giant skeleton was reanimated it had no weapon but it could easily crush them with the weight of its limbs.
Shade attempted to go for another strike to take it down as they had before but the armor now covered many of its weak points.
The skeleton moved slowly but it\'s joints were well defended.
Its spine covered by the thick covering of bone armor.
Shade could dodge the heavy blows but he had to get farther back when he saw that each one cracked the stone.
Seeing how powerful the blows of this newly improved giant were made the rest more hesitant to block strikes directly so they would have to dodge the slow but heavy blows.
While dodging the giant the group would attack the now vulnerable mage.
Each of them would take turns attacking the boss before leading the giant in a small chase.
It was easier with the mage staying above her coffin while the giant seemed to avoid disturbing it.
By attacking the mage with her guardian distracted they could bring chunks of her hp down.
Once her hp hit 25% they were waiting for her sword but it didn\'t come.
They attacked more aggressively after that.
They were caught off guard when she hit 15%, she finally activated her shadow magic teleport and struck one of them.
She had appeared behind War God with a stab into her side.
The resistance skill she trained for kept her alive but the wound was severe.
Every few seconds she would vanish and try to strike another but now that he knew she would be attacking at this time Ezekiel could easily warn them.
When they were not fast enough he would blast her head to distract her but this was risky as it would immediately take the focus if the giant.
The battle was taking a risky turn with this stage, they were being injured more often now.
They were struggling to land hits on her and they knew she wouls even go into another frenzy to attack faster.
